ooc.
Please try to keep real-life attachment and roleplay attachment separate. I am not looking to date outside of roleplay, but roleplay dating is just fine. My character can either be polyamorus or monogamous. This means she can fall for multiple people, and know how to balance relationships or stay faithful to one person. Please note that monogamous relationships must be oocly discussed before hand, as this may effect ongoing roleplay with other people.
activity.
I am usually on FFXIV sporadically and can become distracted by real life or other activities altogether. Please understand I am not obligated to be online and real life comes first. If you would like to keep in-touch, my Discord is "caelestielle" (please no random adds).
interactions.
Try to extend the same amount of effort in writing as myself. Some one-liners don't necessarily bother me unless there is nothing to bounce off of. I also understand inspiration can make or break a roleplay. If you don't feel up to writing with me, please don't force yourself to do so! I rather write with you if you are feeling the want to interact with me. And believe me, if I want to interact with you, I will try to make time for you!
formatting.
I am not an elitist. Typos can happen and I certainly know I am not perfect on multiple levels. Please be cordial and don't judge me by minimal typos; I know I don't when it comes to other roleplayers. I do try to proof-read for your benefit, but sometimes my vision skips over words or doubles them, or my fingers type faster than my focused thoughts.
plotting.
I am open to plotting stories or roleplaying together episodically! I personally like to plot dramatic or even dark stories, though that is never required to write with me. Romance is a guilty pleasure, but not always applicable. Please note more often than not, I prefer to discuss our character dynamics before seeking romance.

personality. In the beginning of A Realm Reborn, Freya is seen to be a very quiet person. An outcast in her youth, she kept to herself around the more disgruntled locals that knew her. She tries to blend in, being unsuspecting by wearing a figurative mask (or in her case, a hat to hide her ears), unable to be true to herself, but also can subsequently do what needs to be done. She is otherwise naturally peaceful and laidback, warm-hearted and humorous. Freya doesn't shake off the need for her hat until much later, in which she only wears it as a memento of her father, and no longer to hide her ears.
disorder. Hyper-empathy is the innate ability to be completely connected and in-tune with another’s emotions and, subsequently, on high alert towards negative feelings.
origin.
Freya was born to a Midlander-Hyur woman named, Sarah, a school teacher for the children of Gridania. Her father, much to many's societal disapproval, was a Wildwood Elezen by the name of Jareth; a whimsical bard by trade. Despite their apparent love, her mother developed an obsession with appearing prim and proper, often holding the weight of the judgmental Elezen on her shoulders. Because of this, she was Freya's harshest critic.Freya had a younger sister named Aislinn whom she spent her childhood with. Most—if not all—children avoided Freya and Aislinn, likely due to their parents' chagrin for being half-blooded. Freya and Aislinn were close, best friends, and the two protected each other. Freya felt it was destiny to protect and watch over Aislinn, but the younger girl thought the same.Jareth, Freya's father, was her hero. The happiness she felt every time her traveling father came home was indescribable. He always brought gifts to Freya and her sister, told them amazing stories about adventurers and beautiful places he's seen around the world. One day, however, something within him changed, and he grew distant from them, up until he was avoiding coming home altogether. Those days were the start of a new era for Freya, that which changed her life forever. The day of the Calamity had came, and Freya, unaware of any of the happenings around the world, went out despite her mother forbidding it. Aislinn, much to Freya's frustration, had followed her out as well. Sometime during their outing in the Shroud, the sky grew dark, and fire began to rain from the skies. While trying to run back to Gridania, a tree that had been engulfed in flames began to fall, nearly crushing Freya. When she came to from her fall, she saw what Aislinn had done. Her younger sister had saved her from the falling tree, at the cost of her own life.Freya was devastated. She stayed with her dying sister until the Woodwailers found them. Once she was returned home, her mother was so hysterical that she slapped Freya cross the face, blaming her for Aislinn's demise, believing that Freya was supposed to protect her younger sister, not set a bad example. The people of Gridania pitied them. Moreover, her father never did return home. Instead, she received one final gift from him; a flat cap and a letter: For when you need a bode of confidence.Wearing the cap, she took his letter to heart, the hat giving her some confidence to do what needed to be done without people questioning her. So her adolescent years were spent working around Gridania as a delivery girl.Life was quiet for five years. The people of Gridania got to know Freya as someone who would do anything for them, despite the unkind words they once shared with her. Eventually however, Freya felt she needed to spread her wings. Her mother reluctantly agreed, sending her off to Ul'dah for better work. What she didn't know, however, was that her life was about to change once more, for better or worse.
present.
Having taken a liken to painting, Freya moves to Ul'dah in hopes of making ends meet and more to send back home to Gridania. In doing so, she learns more about the world around her and how people can either be kind or incredibly cruel. She hides her ears with her hat, not wanting to bring more attention to herself than necessary, living unsuspectingly on her own in the city-state of Ul'dah. At first, she was mistaken for an adventurer, to which she found humor in (given that her mother forbade it). Instead of signing up for the adventurer's guild however, she simply takes on the job of delivering goods and trying (and typically failing) to sell her paintings.
[Under Construction.]
headcanon one.
She has a pomeranian named Sunny. Even though she wanted to bring her dog with her wherever she goes, she opted to leave her with her mother to keep her company.
headcanon two.
Freya's visuals are based off of Avril Lavigne's early years in the music industry, particularly during her Let Go album. She was conceptualized as an original character for the movie Labyrinth by Jim Henson.
headcanon three.
Freya's flat cap is especially important to her. Not only does it hide her ears, but it was also sent to her as a namesday gift from her father. It is canonically the last thing she received from him.
headcanon four.
Freya's favorite foods consist of Bouillabaisse, a seafood dish her mother made once in a while, and Apple Tart. Her favorite drinks are Triple Cream Coffee and Chai. She absolutely hates Mun-Tuy beans.
headcanon five.
Freya's favorite flower is the purple carnation, commonly known as moondust. Variants of these carnations can be blue or purple, though the purple hue in particular is what she fancies more than the other.
headcanon six.
Freya's voice is thought to be similar to Jean Gunnhildr who is voiced by Stephanie Southerland. Her singing voice is akin to the talented Youtube songstress, Lollia.
the rest is still unwritten.
feeling the rain on her skin; no one else can feel it for her, only she can let it in. drenching herself in words unspoken, living her life with arms wide open. today is where her book begins.
